The Child Life profession in Kuwait is sponsored by the Private Sector. Local banks, businesses and generous individuals donate the annual salaries of the Child Life Specialists and Play Leaders. Great emphasis is placed on the recruitment, selection, training and continuous evaluation of suitably qualified staff. At the same time all KACCH staff are highly valued and much effort is exerted in ensuring that they have good working conditions, fair remuneration and terms of contract. This unique collaboration between KACCH and the Private Sector has enabled the profession of Child Life to become established in Kuwait. This is the first programme of its kind in the Middle East.
